As you know I’ve been going through a bit of a heavy period lately. Not in the sense that life feels terrible or that I feel sorry for myself. It’s more that I sometimes find it difficult to stay positive, even though I actually am.
I can have these completely random thoughts, like:
“Wouldn’t it be cool if people thought I was really good at giving massages?”
Then another thought immediately follows:
“You’re not really that good at anything.”
And then comes the next one:
“But… do I actually have to be amazing at something? Is it really that important?”
I’m pretty good at being me.
And honestly?
That’s more than enough.
Then another conversation starts inside my head.
“You’re being a bit negative again.”
“Oh… here we go again.”
Sometimes I feel like there are two versions of me having a discussion. Not because there’s anything wrong with me, but because the negative voice says one thing, and then the positive voice immediately answers with the very same things I usually write about here.
It’s almost like I’m being lectured… by myself.
And the funny part?
The positive side usually wins.
I have to laugh about it.
Because, if I’m being honest, it’s actually quite comforting.
It tells me that something has changed.
The positive voice doesn’t have to be forced anymore. It shows up naturally.
That makes me think I’ve actually grown.
That maybe the path I’ve chosen really is the right one.
The funniest part, though, is when I accidentally have these conversations out loud.
Yes…
Out loud.
I often catch myself talking to myself, only to realise that whatever sounded brilliant inside my head suddenly sounds completely ridiculous once I hear myself say it.
Then i find myeslef laughing at my self again. i doo that alot 😊
And strangely enough…
It actually helps.
So maybe being just a tiny bit crazy isn’t such a bad thing after all.
Or maybe…
Maybe that’s just another part of being human. 🌼
